I recently purchased a used PDA as a back-up for the one I use. When you buy used items, occasionaly there are some small problems with them, or they don’t come with all the items that a new one did. In this case, I wanted a leather case, and an extra A/C adaptor for work. Since this PDA is not being sold anymore, I had to resort to the Internet to find what I was looking for. In the process of that search, I came across a site that was very helpful. That site is the focus of today’s Family First Site.
The name of the site is called mySimon. This site is a place to do online comparison shopping for, well, just about anything. You can look for anything from home electronics to jewelry to home furnishings to movies & books to home & garden tools. You start by selecting an area you wish to search, such as books. It then lets you search by most popular, by author, audio books and so on. It also highlights certain topical books, such as Oprah’s Bookclub, Harry Potter, and Tom Clancy. Once you have selected a title, it will then list several stores which carry the title you are interested in, with price, shipping info, availability, and how to contact the seller, either by phone or via the Internet.
mySimon also has services available to help one with their search and shopping. There is a buying guides section, which offers ideas on what the best buys are. This same area has suggestions for gifts, as well as a quick product finder. Be sure to check out the most popular items area as well, where you can find out what other people are buying.
This site has wonderful information, and there is a lot of it. But if you searching for a hard to find item, this is the place to start. I did, and I did find what I was looking for.
